About Us
Lindsay's Allsorts is a second generation furniture retailer in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire selling brand new and graded home furnishings. We have delivered great value furniture nationwide for the last 40 years.
The company was founded by Harry and Hilary Lindsay in 1980 and is run today by husband and wife team Andrew and Marie Lindsay.
We have 40 years of satisfied customers and have earned our reputation as one of Yorkshire's best discount furniture retailers.
There are several reasons that set us apart from your average furniture website:
- You will not find our items at a better price anywhere else. If you do, let us know and we will match the price.
- You can arrange a viewing of many of the items on our website by contacting us and arranging a time and day that is convenient to you.
- We only display products that are available. Once a product has sold out we take it off the website.
- We get new products in every month and our stock is always changing.
- Our graded products (factory seconds and ex-display items) are clearly described with detailed pictures of the actual item that you are buying.
- We are a family business and we offer a personal service and excellent customer care.
No, we do not currently have a showroom where you can browse all of our furniture.
Many of our items are available for viewing. Just contact us and arrange a time and day that is convenient for you.
Viewings are possible 7 days a week in Linthwaite, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.
Shipping
Many of our items have FREE nationwide delivery but for some of our items a shipping cost will apply.
Our standard nationwide delivery is from £12 to £39 and takes 3-5 working days. You can see the delivery cost in a product’s description.
Large/heavy items are £50 and delivered by haulier in 3-7 working days. Some coastal/rural postcodes will have an addition delivery cost/time for large/heavy items.
You can use the Shipping Estimator on a product's description page to see the shipping cost and delivery time to your area. Select your region and type in your postcode.
Discounted combined postage may be available if you are buying more than one item. This is applied at checkout.
We can offer our local customers (those within a 25 mile radius of Huddersfield town centre) discounts on these shipping rates or free delivery. Find out more about Local Delivery.
Collection is also available from Linthwaite, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.
Delivery is 3-5 working days for most of our items.
Please allow up to 7 working days for large items.
There is a lead time for items that are manufactured to order (i.e. some sofas, mattresses and bedroom sets) so delivery will be longer. This varies between 7-25 working days depending on the item.

Yes, you will receive a tracking number when your order is dispatched that you can use to get updates on your delivery.
Large/heavy items are delivered by haulier. You will receive the hauliers details when your item is dispatched. They or we will be happy to help with any questions.
Local Delivery applies to Huddersfield (West Yorkshire) and its surrounding areas. These include all areas within a 25 mile radius of Huddersfield town centre.
Many of our items have free nationwide delivery but for some of our items a shipping rate will apply. We can offer our local customers discounts on these shipping rates or free delivery.
Yes, you can collect your order from Linthwaite, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.
Collection is available Monday-Friday 10am until 5pm. If you would like to collect outside of these hours please contact us and we will do everything we can to help.
Orders are ready to collect within 24 hours, although some of our beds may take up to 2 days. There is a lead time for items that are manufactured to order (i.e. some sofas, mattresses and bedroom sets). These items will be ready to collect between 7-25 working days depending on the item.
An email will be sent to you when your order is ready for collection.
For local deliveries we use our own vans and drivers. For nationwide deliveries we use ParcelForce, DPD and UPS and large/heavy items are delivered by our haulier Humac Transport.

After 40 years in the furniture business we get fantastic deals from our suppliers and we pass those savings onto you. We sell a wide range of brand new items, all with huge savings, and we also sell graded products with up to 70% off the RRP.

We source our products from manufacturers all over the world and have excellent relationships with suppliers of high-end and high-street brands that you love.
We sell a wide range of furniture lines from high-street to high-end brands. These include Willis & Gambier, Frank Hudson, Laura Ashley, John Lewis, Gina & Colomer, Bentley Designs, Shackletons, Andrew Martin, Lay Z Boy, Wayfair, Gallery Home and many more!
Yes. We have a wide range of suppliers that we can order furniture from with a lead time (usually a week or two). Contact us and let us know what you are looking for and we can send you pictures and prices of anything suitable.
Yes, the majority of our items are brand new. If it's not, this will be stated in the product title and and clearly described in the product description.
No, we do not sell pre-owned or used furniture.
A graded product is an item that is not quite perfect, but the price is! Our graded products include ex-display items, factory seconds and items that have been slightly damaged in manufacturer transit. All of our graded products are clearly described with photographs of the actual item that you are buying.
You can save £££'s off the RRP by buying an ex-display item.
Ex-Display means that the product has been displayed in a furniture showroom or trade event. There will be some blemishes on the item as a result. Some items have very light blemishes while others show something more significant.
All of our ex-display items are clearly described with photographs of the actual item that you are buying including photographs of any blemishes described. Our ex-display products are identified as "Ex-Display" next to the brand name on the product description page.
You can save £££'s off the RRP by buying a factory second.
A Factory Second is an item that did not pass stringent manufacturer quality control.

If you order an item that requires assembly, we can build this for you prior to delivery for an additional cost. The cost will depend on the time it will take to assemble the item.
For local delivery, this will not alter the delivery cost but for national delivery the delivery cost may increase, as the size of the package will change when the item is built.

Ordering
Yes, we accept phone orders as well as online orders. Please call 01484 917515
Yes, we all change our minds now and again. You can cancel your order with no charges, providing the order has not been dispatched. Please contact us as soon as possible.
If you want to change the delivery details or add instructions to your order, please contact us and we will make the necessary amendments.
All our products are advertised at the best possible prices. However, if you are furnishing a whole room or buying several items at once, please contact us to see if we can do you a deal.
It depends on your location. If you are in the Huddersfield area and it's a smaller item, we can take it away for you and donate or dispose of it free of charge. We can not take away old beds, mattresses, sofas and other large items like wardrobes and sideboards.
If you are outside of the Huddersfield area we are not able to offer you this service.
Unfortunately we can not reserve or hold items. If you want to secure the item you want before it sells out, our Payment Plan can help.

We do not offer a finance option at the moment. However, we do offer interest free payment plans for customers who want to pay for their furniture in installments. Your furniture will be delivered once the final installment has been paid.
Yes, but this depends on where you live and how you are receiving your order.
Cash orders are only accepted if you live in Huddersfield or you are collecting your order.
If you want to pay with cash you will need to place your order by calling 01484 917515.
Returns
Yes, we have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused and with its original packaging. You will also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

When your return is accepted, we will send you instructions on where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
